Our story goes back to the 50’s, when three friends emigrated to this country from Spain.
Abel Martinez, Martin and Manuel Villanueva began working in the meat industry in well-known companies such as Farmer John, Hi standard, and Choe Meats. They later decide to form their own companies and began to establish themselves in the diverse markets of Southern California. With the purpose of offering high quality products and extraordinary customer service, their businesses flourished in the high demanding market.
In 1991, Abel, Manuel, and Martin decided to unite their companies, efforts, and experiences to form what we now know as El Monte Wholesale Meat Incorporated. Currently, John, Ángelo, and Chase Villanueva, along with Cristina Martinez, whom are all children of the original founders, continue to command this family owned business.
Located in the center of the city of El Monte, the company continues to grow. Today, El Monte Whole Sale Meat has expanded to Orange Country, the Inland Empire, and the state of Nevada.
